A little care. A better routine.
Start with the instructions supplied with your exact Bee Filter product. Wash only filters identified as washable.
Before you start
Switch off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the filter as directed in your machine manual, keeping the vacuum and electrical components away from water. These steps cover washable filters, not motorized brush heads or other accessories.
Check your filter
Confirm that the replacement is washable. Follow the care instructions supplied with that product and check for damage.
Rinse gently
For filters with cold-water washing instructions, rinse gently using cold water. Do not add soap or detergent, scrub the pleated media, or put the filter in a dishwasher.
Allow it to dry completely
Leave it in a well-ventilated area for the time specified by the product instructions. If your instructions specify 48 hours, allow the full 48 hours and longer if any moisture remains. Never reinstall a damp filter or speed drying with an oven, microwave or clothes dryer.
Inspect and refit
Check the housing, media and seals before refitting. If the filter is damaged or no longer fits securely, stop using it and choose the correct replacement. Follow your machine manual when reinstalling.
